Nanette began working for Kern County Department of Human Services in 2000 as an Eligibility Technician I. She quickly advanced through the Human Services Technician series, reaching the position of Human Services Technician III in October 2001. During this time, she gained invaluable experience in CalWORKs, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, Cal-Learn, Foster Care, Adoptions, and KinGAP. In 2012, Nanette promoted to Human Services Supervisor where she provided oversight of eligibility services of CalWORKs, CalFresh, Medi-Cal, Cal-Learn, General Assistance, Foster Care, Adoptions, KinGAP and Extended Foster Care (AB12) cases, in both Employment and Financial Services and Child Protective Services Bureaus. She promoted to Assistant Program Director in 2017 and returned to the Employment and Financial Services Bureau assigned to Lobby Management and Continuing Services and Application Services divisions. In 2021, Nanette promoted to Human Services Program Director in the Program Support Bureau, assigned to Human Resources and expanded her experience by overseeing a variety of critical areas including Hiring, Interactive Process, Worker’s Compensation, Ergonomic Evaluations, Investigations, and Safety. In April 2025, Nanette promoted to Assistant Director overseeing the divisions of Eligibility Policy Development & Support Services, Application Support, Data Analysis, Internal Audit, Contracts, Continuous Quality Improvement & Foster Care Ombudsman, Facilities, Fleet & Mail Services, and Information Technology for which she brings a wealth of program, administrative and technical experience.
Ms. Uzzle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from University of Pheonix.
