Who is it for?

RCA is a cash assistance program for refugees who are not otherwise eligible for any other cash aid. RCA also includes employment and other social services to assist a refugee in becoming self-sufficient.

How to Apply

To apply for RCA, please call or visit any DHS office Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00p.m.

To apply online, go to Benefitscal.org
You may apply in person at any Kern County Department of Human Services office in Bakersfield or District offices in outlying areas.
